Dad and Elsie both showing Apache today at Leyland and District Riding Club show. First time he’s been out on his own and conditions couldn’t have been worse but he was great 😊

This week we bought a gypsy caravan. One day Apache will pull it 😊 we’re going to sleep in it for half term holidays!

We were back at cousin Emmie’s today to round up the cattle on ponies 🐴

Rode the ponies then tried out some new hairstyles… in the afternoon more chickens arrived! Mav & Goose 😎

All ponies ridden, all jobs done and chickens put to bed. Cora spent an hour reading to Flick who’s still miserable in her stable. Late evening dog walk and a beer to watch the sun go down as the girls practiced dance routines. Standard 👍

Sat with the old girl having a cup of tea. She’s had an accident and is lame, not 100% sure how but suspect a kick from another pony caught her back leg. Scans have shown tendon damage and piece of bone chipped away but she can barely hold weight on back leg. She’s got 6…

Absolutely super day at cousin Emmie’s farm. The girls had an absolute ball feeding lambs and calves, then we went out on the ponies with a half way stop for ice cream. Proper golden Easter holiday fun, they didn’t want to leave!

We had 4 new members of the family arrive today. The 2 larger Orpingtons are named Jeremy Cluck-son and his partner Jolene (a tribute to Dolly Part-hen) 🐓🐔 The 2 smaller silkies are HeyHey and TukTuk 🐓🐔 They’re settling in well, the girls are already calculating how much pocket money they can make selling eggs…
