Sat with the old girl having a cup of tea. She’s had an accident and is lame, not 100% sure how but suspect a kick from another pony caught her back leg. Scans have shown tendon damage and piece of bone chipped away but she can barely hold weight on back leg. She’s got 6 weeks stable rest and she just stands at the door watching the others in the field. Keeping fingers crossed she can get back to her previous self and even if that’s unrealistic and she has to retire from shows, hopefully we can still go out and walk, we’ll settle for that. To be fair, we’re both old and crocked so might just start walking her to the White Lion and initiate full retirement 🤷‍♂️
