Absolutely super day at Thompson House Equestrian Centre for the Leyland and District Riding Club show. Cora and Apache took 4th in the ridden category and 3rd showing in hand.

Elsie was a top groom, supporter and ice cream eater throughout the day. Along with the girls adopted grandparents Margaret & David Ralphs

Cora went on the take a credible 4th in the hobby horse class and the Flickster took 3rd in ridden veterans. Naturally when the judge commented that “the physique is excellent for such a mature age” .. some clarification was required as to whether she was referring to horse or rider.

A long day made longer as Elsie then insisted she rode Paris when we got home, so we tacked up and whizzed round until it got dark. I never thought I’d experience a day when I’m too tired for the white lion, yet here we are 🤷‍♂️
