Another sunny day, daffodils are coming out and the grass is definitely growing. Bad day yesterday, with hindsight stupid to let the kids ride in the local show, given the wind speed. Paris who hasn’t put a hoof wrong in 2 years was spooked, she got in a tiz, reared and threw Elsie off pretty badly during her class. A reminder that ultimately they’re just animals who also get anxious. Elsie was very upset but the little girl who won came and found Elsie in the cafe and bought her a Kit-Kat which made her day. You can never underestimate how little acts of kindness can impact someone.

So tonight, she told me she wanted to get straight back on and ride. Thankfully the weather was good and Paris was her normal golden self.
